About Us




G.B Surfacing Ltd are a multiskilled Civil Engineering company established in 2017. Working M.D, Gary Causton, has over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
We have been operating as a sub, sub-contractor to Ringways Jacobs (Essex Highways), Essex County Council and Bedford County Council. We have also undertaken numerous S278 works as a main contractor via our highways and groundworks division.
Furthermore, we have undertaken numerous works for C2C and Network rail inclusive of, embankment works, station refurbishments, bespoke building constructions, roof installations, multiple trackside works as well as level crossing work, both as a sub contractor and direct for the main client with our designated rail division.
Our staff are all fully trained and competent and hold the appropriate qualifications, these being interchangeable for both sides of the business. These qualifications include NRSWA, CSCS, SSSTS, LU, ICI, CPCS and in addition we have specifically trained staff in PASMA, IPAF, confined spaces, deep excavations , cable avoidance, Banksman and First Aiders.
We heavily invest in training to be able to facilitate our customers needs, as well as investing into our staff to maintain the best workforce possible. Our employee investment is evident by our staff retention.
We have the ability and resource to mobilise on numerous schemes simultaneously. G.B Surfacing are fully versed on numerous software packages used by various councils. Some of the software packages include
CEMAR, SYMOLOGY, MAYRISE, RAKIEN and SAPS.
